Here are some decor ideas that might aid you in visually enhancing various rooms throughout your home. Try not to get frustrated during your redecorating. Most of all, the experience should be fun and relaxing. Be patient, don't expect a huge tranformation overnight. Take your time when choosing various pieces of art and accessories for your home. In the long run, your final result will be just how you pictured.
REPEAT a color at least three times in a room.
RELATE your art to its surroundings. Art placed six to nine inches above a sofa will create a unified look.
COVER two-thirds of the space above a piece of furniture with one or more pieces of art to achieve pleasing proportions.
VARY the height of tabletop accessories for balance and interest.
CREATE a formal look with symmetrical groupings of art. Create an informal look with asymmetrical groupings.
PLACE mirrors so they reflect something beautiful. Use them to add dimension, expand space or reflect light in a room.
DISPLAY art on easels to create interest in corners, bookcases or tabletops.

Mirrors are not just for checking your hair as you run out of the house in the morning. When thoughtfully added to a room design, a framed mirror has the ability to change the overall look and feel of that room in ways other wall decor cannot.
1. BE CREATIVE
Mirrors in the kitchen or family room? Sure! Maybe a mirror in that narrow stairwell would open it up a little.
2. LIGHTEN UP
Bring some light into a dark room. Make sure you hang it to reflect inside light...or better yet, maybe a lovely view of the trees or garden outside.
3. EXPAND YOUR SPACE
Mirrors can give a room a feeling of depth. A smalldining or sitting room can be visually enlarged very easily with a larged framed mirror.
4. GROUP UP
Can't find or afford a large mirror - or don't have the room on the wall for one? Try a grouping of several smaller mirrors. Think eclectic here. It's not important to match the surroundings or each other.
5. WHAT'S SHOWING?
Hanging a framed mirror to reflect something on the opposite wall - a piece of framed art, for example, can enhance a living space...and make the art work twice as hard!
